SUMMARY:Hands-on zebrafish husbandry course
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe zebrafish core facility at Karolinska Institutet, in collaboration with Nord University and Norecopa, would like to invite you to a hands-on zebrafish husbandry course. The aim of the course is to teach evidence-based methods and practical skills for housing and care of zebrafish. Topics will include:\n\nBiosafety\nCulture of rotifers, including polyculture\nRearing and keeping zebrafish\nAnimal welfare\nAquatic techniques, including feeding robots\nMinor surgical procedures, including fin-clipping and tattooing\nCryopreservation of zebrafish lines and IVF (an optional add-on for up to 5 participants on 16 November)\n\nThe number of course participants is limited to 10.
