All European College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ECLAM) information except that which is fully distributed to the public should be treated as strictly confidential.
Confidential information is defined as information owned or possessed by ECLAM, which ECLAM has used or will use in the conduct of its business, and which is not generally known in the community in which ECLAM carries out its activities.
Confidential information includes without limitations: examination materials used on any current or previous certification examination; personal or professional information on Diplomates, Residents, and applicants; scientific or technical information received in confidence; as well as all business and financial information unless fully distributed to the public by ECLAM. Internal ECLAM communications and meetings are Confidential Information.
Public information is that contained in ECLAM publications, brochures, Web pages, news releases and similar documents available to the general public.
All Members of Council, Committee Members, Liaisons and administrative staff representing ECLAM are required to review and sign a Confidentiality Agreement, which is kept on file for the minimum time required by law in the country in which ECLAM is registered.

I understand that during my membership in the European College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ECLAM), I may be exposed or given access to Confidential Information belonging to ECLAM.
I agree that I shall not use any Confidential Information belonging to ECLAM for my personal profit or gain, or for any other unauthorised purpose without the express written consent of ECLAM.
I agree that I shall not discuss, disclose, reproduce, copy, transmit, distribute or retain any Confidential Information belonging to ECLAM except for the purpose of conducting ECLAM business.
Furthermore, I agree to safeguard Confidential Information belonging to ECLAM while it is in my possession.
