Veterinary Surgeon

£40,500-£46,000 per annum

The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences to enhance lives and improve wellbeing.

We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual who will assist the Veterinary Services Manager to provide a comprehensive veterinary service to the Institute and the associated commercial campus. The person appointed will be required to provide a clinical service and contribute strategically to preventative medicine based on good bio-security and health monitoring.

The successful candidate must have clinical experience as a qualified veterinarian and preferably experience and a PhD in a discipline relevant to laboratory animal science. Sound ethical judgement, ability to solve problems and use initiative, and excellent communication skills are all essential.

This is a full-time post but job-share applications will also be considered. NO AGENCIES PLEASE.

The Department of Experimental Medicine (AEM) is searching for a Chief Veterinarian to lead our team of clinical laboratory animal veterinarians, because the present Chief Veterinarian is retiring at the end of the year. The position is 37 h/week and available from 1 January 2020. The team currently consists of 5 full-time veterinarians including the Chief.
